So, I'm sittin here at work trying to kill some time, reading People Magazine online. The story I'm reading is about Matthew McConaughey's older brother, Rooster, commenting about how he's going to be 'one helluva dad'. They also mention that Rooster has two children including a 2-year-old named Miller Lyte.

Miller Lyte. As in the beer.

Poor kid is gonna have issues before he even knows what issues are. Really?! Who would do that to a child?

I've decided that I really like Hastings. It has a small town feel with some of the big town amenitites. Target, Wal-mart, free wi-fi. We still don't have internet at the house and it's looking like we wont until sometime next week or the week after. So Ben and I are spending more and more time at the Karl's Red Rock Cafe in downtown Hastings. They serve breakfast all day AND have free wi-fi; how can someone go wrong?! Once we're done with our ice-t's we are going to venture up the street to some of the antique shops and see if we can get some furniture for the house. If you don't already know, most (all) the big furniture is staying at the town house in Burnsville to stage it for sale. Right now we've moved the desk and the chairs that go along with the desk. That's what we have for furniture.....kinda bleak. Although, Maj. Baker is letting us use her mattress and box spring until we get ours back.

We now have a back yard. A legit back yard for Milo. He loves' it, but he's a little afraid to go out there without Ben or I. New places and all..... It's not fenced, but we've rigged up a 75 foot zip line, very much like the one Wendy and Travis use for Gurgi.

Today, I decided, was gardening day. This morning I sprayed the lawn with bug killer, too many damn mosquitos. I trimmed the bushes and pulled the weeds (almost trees) from the gardens. Well, I don't suppose I would actually call them gardens. There's some hastas along the driveway and some ferns on the side of the house. Yeah, weeded those. If anyone has any experience with what to plant, where to plant it, when to plant it and all of the above; let me know. I've been given the go-ahead by Maj. Baker to do 'whatever' to the gardens and I want to make them look nice for her.

Now with glasses empty and Ben's laptop outta juice, it's time for shopping.

I have been sick more this year than the last 5 years combined. What's the deal? I even started taking a vitamin regime a couple months ago, and here I sit. Feeling like shit. Wanting to go home and go to bed. Ugh, the more I move the worse I feel. I think the boss is going to start thinking I'm making this shit up to get out of work; if he doesn't already.

Which would you like to have with Deep Fried Turkey?

Sweet Potato Ravioli with a Brown Sugar glaze   OR    Foccia with Carmelized Onions (to soak up Turkey Greasy Tastyness)

Or I could go with the old standby of a Pasta Salad.

If you have a different idea; lay it on me

I was going through iPhoto and came across some old photos of Milo. My sweet little boy.

He was 2 months old

This one he's almost 3 months old. It was just too cute not to include.

He was starting his 'teenage' gangly stage

aaaand POSE! This was last summer at some lake...
